He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. Driven by his dedication to eye care, he completed his internship at the Department of Ophthalmology, Songklanagarind Hospital, Prince of Songkla University. He then advanced his specialty training as a resident physician at Srinagarind Hospital, Khon Kaen University, where his outstanding performance led to his appointment as a medical lecturer from 1994 to 1996.
Demonstrating remarkable clinical leadership, Dr. Wiwat later served at the renowned Mettapracharak (Wat Rai Khing) Hospital under the Ministry of Public Health. There, he held prestigious roles as the Head of the Ophthalmology Specialty Medical Center and the Head of the Cornea and Refractive Surgery Unit. Furthermore, from 2020 to 2022, he served as the Medical Director of the Ophthalmology Center at Rangsit University.
