ASSOC. PROF. DR. ANUN VONGTHONGSRI, M.D.

Dr. Anun is a pioneering cornea and refractive surgery (LASIK) specialist, and the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Bangkok Eye Hospital. He graduated with second-class honors from the Faculty of Medicine at Chulalongkorn University in 1990, subsequently completing ophthalmology fellowships and residencies at Prince of Songkla University and Ramathibodi Hospital. Making medical history, he was the first ophthalmologist from Thailand and Southeast Asia to complete a clinical fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the prestigious Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, where he contributed to foundational clinical studies on PRK and LASIK using Excimer lasers.

Returning to Thailand, Dr. Anun served as the Director of the Cornea and Refractive Surgery Service at Ramathibodi Hospital from 2001, where he also led the fellowship training program for future eye specialists. As a co-founder and Medical Director of Laser Vision International LASIK Center, he has performed thousands of successful vision correction procedures, making his centers global hubs for international patients and visiting ophthalmologists. Today, Dr. Anun Vongthongsri is widely recognized as a premier authority in advanced laser eye surgery and refractive innovation across Southeast Asia.
