Lens Augmentation Treatment Process Steps

YAG Laser Treatment is used to create a small opening on the side of the iris to prepare the eye and prevent an increase in intraocular pressure after lens implantation. Patients should undergo YAG laser treatment approximately 2 weeks prior to the procedure.

Vision correction with ICL, will involve the following treatment steps:
  1. The staff will apply dilating eye drops and anesthetic drops.
  2. The doctor will create a small incision of approximately 3 millimeters at the edge of the cornea to serve as an entry point for the lens implantation, which does not require stitches and will heal quickly. The implanted lens will gradually unfold and remain in the eye, invisible to the naked eye.
  3. The doctor will prescribe medication to reduce intraocular pressure and schedule a follow-up appointment the next day to monitor the treatment progress.

The lens augmentation procedure takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Afterward, the patient can return home to rest. Typically, the doctor will treat one eye at a time, allowing the first eye to fully heal before proceeding with the other eye. This process is usually spaced about one week apart, depending on the conditions.
